This website is run privately by the media owner named above, who is responsible for the processing described here. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

Server and access logs

The website is hosted on a private server in Vienna, Austria. When you visit it, the web server processes your IP address and the request (page, time, browser identification) to deliver the page and to protect the server against abuse. The access logs only contain shortened IP addresses (the last part is removed) and are kept in size-limited logs that are overwritten continuously. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Visitor statistics (GoatCounter)

Page views are counted with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service operated by Martin Tournoij (Ireland) and hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany and Finland. Your browser loads a small script from gc.zgo.at, which reports the visited page, referrer, screen width, language and browser/operating system. GoatCounter does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses or the full browser identification; it keeps aggregated statistics only. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding which content is read (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Details: GoatCounter privacy policy. Blocking the script (e.g. with a content blocker) has no effect on the website.

Interactive apps

Graphs you send to the server-side computations of the apps are processed only to calculate the result and are not stored. The apps report anonymous usage counts (which function was used, without any data about you) to GoatCounter.

Third-party content

Fonts, images and all other content of this site are served from this server. The lists of publications, repositories, tracks and models are fetched by the server from ORCID, OpenAlex, GitHub, SoundCloud, MakerWorld and Project Euler, so your browser does not contact these services. The only exception: when you expand a repository's README, images it embeds (such as status badges) are loaded directly from the servers they are hosted on (e.g. GitHub or shields.io), which then receive your IP address. Links to other websites only transfer data once you follow them.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact the media owner via one of the profiles linked at the bottom of this page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna).
